Description
Tesamorelin (TESA) is a stabilised analog of the full growth hormone-releasing hormone sequence, all 44 amino acids. We supply it as a lyophilized powder in 5 mg and 10 mg vials, labeled at more than 99% purity.

What tesamorelin is.
Most GHRH research compounds are cut down to the first 29 residues. Tesamorelin keeps the whole chain and adds a trans-3-hexenoyl group at the N-terminus, which protects it from rapid enzymatic breakdown. It is also known by its research code TH9507.

Where it fits in the literature.
Tesamorelin has a deeper published record than other GHRH analogs. Its registration trials, published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2007, measured visceral fat by CT, IGF-1 and glucose parameters. Later work looked at liver fat, body composition and cognition in older adults. A branded product received FDA approval in 2010; the material sold here is research material only.
For shorter GHRH analogs, compare sermorelin and CJC-1295 No DAC.
Documentation.
Available analytical documentation is listed in the COA library. Find the certificate that matches your label in the COA library.
Handling.
Store the vial cold, dry and away from direct light until use. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and refrigerate the solution.
Questions.
What does TESA stand for?
TESA is the community shorthand for tesamorelin.
How is tesamorelin different from sermorelin and CJC-1295?
Sermorelin and CJC-1295 No DAC use the first 29 amino acids of GHRH. Tesamorelin keeps all 44 and adds a stabilising hexenoyl group.
Is tesamorelin FDA approved?
A branded tesamorelin product was approved in 2010. This vial is not that product. It is sold for laboratory research only.
