What PT-141 is.
Palatin Technologies developed PT-141 from Melanotan II. The only structural difference is at the end of the chain: a free acid where MT-II has an amide.
Early clinical studies tested it as a liquid spray. Its developers later switched to an injectable version, which the FDA approved in 2019 for a single indication. What we sell is research material, not that medicine.

What the research looks at.
PT-141 is a tool for central melanocortin signalling, especially MC4R pathways in the hypothalamus that shape motivation and arousal-related behaviour. Studies also track cardiovascular responses to melanocortin activation, such as the short-lived blood-pressure changes reported in clinical work.
